Musings

This is where I keep my more blog-like ramblings.

Two Ideas From the Lean Movement - I think about these two ideas often when I plan out any improvements and work with others on projects.

Who is this person?

Hi! I go by soleblaze online. I've been working with computers about as long as I can remember. My first Linux distro was Slackware '96, which I used when I was a Freshman in High School. My background is in computer security, system administration, and DevOps. I mainly focus on security these days. However, a lot of security issues arise from poor development and management practices, which the DevOps philosophy seeks to solve. This causes me to focus on aspects that may not appear to be directly related to security, but without them it is incredibly difficult to get any reasonable security for a project.

Why a Digital Garden?

I've tried to start a blog off and on for the last two decades. I've never been able to stick with it. I want to share my knowledge with everyone, but I'm not good at schedules or writing posts and such. I recently found out about digital gardens and I think it's a format that will work for me. I hope to share my thoughts and notes on all sorts of topics, mostly Linux, Kubernetes, and security related.
